In mid-2024, construction will commence on 350 mixed-income housing units at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark. Phase 1 involves two buildings, one being a 25-story, 199-unit tower. Dextall was chosen to clad the tower using a prefabricated unitized aluminum curtain wall system. This system, featuring sustainable, high-performance panels, enables interior installation, eliminating the need for costly exterior equipment like scaffolding and tower cranes. It speeds up enclosure, allowing earlier interior work, reducing construction time and costs. Additionally, the unitized approach minimizes debris and labor required for facade installation, streamlining the process.
