With $2billion set aside for capital funds across FY25 and FY26, and an unprecedented$26 billion in the 10-year plan, the city is determined to create affordablehousing, improve existing infrastructures, and ensure that New York remainsaccessible for all its residents. Key initiatives include:

1. Support for NYCHA: $700 million will be directed towards NYCHA to support PACT and Public Housing Trust projects. These renovations will enhance living conditions with upgraded units, updated heat and hot water systems, and improved building entryways.
2. Expansion of HPD Programs: $1.3 billion will bolster programs aimed at preserving and building new affordable housing. This includes the construction of supportive housing, promoting affordable homeownership, and preserving existing housing quality.
3. Zoning and Development: Comprehensive zoning changes will increase the overall housing supply, lifting restrictions that have previously hindered development. This includes promoting transit-oriented development, allowing accessory homes, and facilitating conversions of non-residential buildings to housing.
